Maverick City Online Writing Camp

“It’s like a real camp, but online and from your home.” This season has brought about virtual choirs, and worship teams streaming from their living rooms. Collaborating online for songwriters isn’t that new, but gathering hundreds together for a writing camp… at the same time… well, why not?!
This is an online experience that allows you to join the Maverick City team and other writers from around the world for an exclusive writing camp. This is an all-immersive writing experience and exclusively curated space for a select few creatives that exemplify the Maverick way.
What you can expect:
You can expect to connect and co-write with writers just like you from around the country from the comfort of your home. You will get a taste of the Maverick City Music culture, learn from seasoned writers, and perhaps leave with some songs you can use back home. While we consider and listen to all songs, the goal of these songs is that they would live and be sung by the communities we all come from.
What’s included:
4 Songwriting Sessions • 2 conversations from the Mav Team and special guests • 2 Small groups with Mav Team and fellow writers

There are limited spots are available for this online experience. Anyone can apply, but only the most expert writers will be admitted.
$25 Application Fee + $125 Camp Fee (once accepted)**

Zoom In.
All writing, gathering and collaborations will be held on Zoom. Details will be provided to the selected applicants.
There will be a time of worship, teaching, and breakout sessions with your favourite Mav writers & guests.
Coaching.
During writing camp, you will get the opportunity to learn from the greatest worship leaders, singers & songwriters.
Write.
You will be assigned to small writing groups where you will apply what you have learned and work on songs with one another.

1. Vimeo or YouTube link of you answering the question “Why I want to come to a Songwriting Retreat.”
2. Vimeo or YouTube Link of you performing an original song
3. A $25 application fee is due at the time of application submission.
